In recent years, China has established a series of policies on hydrogen fuel cells. National plans such as the outline of the National Innovation-driven Development Strategy, the Energy Technology Revolution and Innovation Action Plan (2016-2030), and the medium-and long-term Development Plan of the Automobile Industry have clearly defined the strategic position of the hydrogen energy and fuel cell industry. With the further clarification of national policies, the development and application of hydrogen fuel cells have been put on the agenda.
According to the data of the China Automobile Association, by the end of 2019, China's hydrogen fuel cell vehicle sales totaled 6000 units, has reached the "energy saving and new energy vehicle technology roadmap" to achieve the stage goal of 5000 fuel cell vehicle scale by 2020. Some insiders expect 10000 vehicles in 2020, exceeding previous expectations. Under the promotion of "new energy vehicle production enterprises and product access management regulations" (2017), the domestic hydrogen fuel cell industry has produced a large number of testing equipment procurement needs in the initial stage of development.
With the in-depth development of the hydrogen fuel cell industry and the update and iteration of hydrogen fuel cell technology, the demand for the testing market has increased significantly. Both third-party testing agencies, stack system companies, and professional manufacturers of fuel cell testing equipment are accelerating. Introduce and develop a new generation of testing instruments. At present, pure scientific research, low-power hydrogen fuel cell testing instruments, the share of foreign brands is relatively high, while high-power, practical hydrogen fuel cell testing instruments, the emphasis on domestic.

"Safety is undoubtedly an important issue in the various operation evaluations of hydrogen fuel cell R & D and production links, as well as the simulation evaluation of performance and operation technology under various working conditions." As a hydrogen fuel cell testing equipment, the environmental test box needs rigorous on-site debugging, which is difficult, takes a long time, and multi-system linkage. The application scenarios of environmental test chambers are very wide, such as aerospace, military, shipbuilding, electrical and electronic, medical, instrumentation, petrochemical, automotive, new energy and other fields, but due to the particularity of hydrogen, the test chamber for hydrogen fuel cells Equipment requirements are undoubtedly higher than other application scenarios.
First, the safety level of the test chamber used for hydrogen fuel cell and system experiments is high. If the laboratory is an explosion-proof laboratory involving hydrogen environment, the whole environmental test box (including box body, unit, control cabinet, etc.) needs to be designed for explosion-proof of the whole machine. Or adopt split type, I .e. the box adopts full explosion-proof and is arranged in a hydrogen-related room; However, other modules such as unit and control cabinet are placed in a non-hydrogen-related room in a conventional way. If the laboratory is a non-explosion-proof laboratory, only explosion-proof in the environmental box (including air conditioning unit, fan, sensor, heating, lighting, exhaust, pressure relief to be explosion-proof, and anti-static, fire-proof design, etc.) is required to ensure the safety of hydrogen leakage in the box. Second, the test chamber should monitor the hydrogen concentration in the chamber in real time during the test to avoid the impact of hydrogen leakage on safety during the test, and carry out safety linkage with the exhaust system and the test bench. Three is the fire extinguishing requirements, the test box is equipped with flame detectors to heptafluoropropane and other corresponding automatic and manual fire extinguishing devices. The fourth is the relatively large heat dissipation characteristics of the stack or battery engine. How to ensure the stability and reliability of the test under the condition of large heat dissipation is also different from the traditional environmental box.
In addition, according to the test requirements of the hydrogen fuel cell, the test box is required to have a fresh air system, a tail exhaust system, a water-hydrogen-air interface, and a reserved hydrogen temperature control interface to ensure that the hydrogen entering the fuel cell engine is consistent with the temperature of the environmental box.

For example, the accuracy guarantee of hydrogen fuel cell engine running in low air pressure environment, how to ensure the comprehensive control accuracy of temperature and humidity, low air pressure, fresh air volume/tail displacement and other factors required by the engine in the plateau environment simulation test box is still the difficulty that environmental test equipment needs to solve. In addition, Dr. Pei of Shanghai Auto Inspection also mentioned the relevant technical index requirements that have been put forward in the market, such as: the conventional ambient temperature simulation range is -40~80 ℃, the accuracy is 1 ℃, and a relatively fast cooling speed needs to be provided; The ambient humidity simulation range is 10 ~ 95% RH, and the accuracy is ≤ 5% RH, it is also necessary to simulate the special problems to be solved, such as hydrogen fuel cell environment simulation and hydrogen pre-cooling, such as the special altitude ≤ 4500m and temperature control in the state of dynamic heat source. This requires close collaboration and joint development between the application side and the supplier.
